Description
while on a tranquil rafting trip with friends and family I stopped to admire a small cove. As I basted in the natural beauty of the pristine Oregon river, some nearby birds let me know I was not welcome in their personal paradise. I looked a little closer and discovered why they were being so protective. At the edge of the shore hidden in wispy grass was a little gray nest, delicately lined with soft feathers. I felt like I had discovered a secret treasure that was only mine to behold. Mine and the mother and father birds. I painted this to capture the moment; the sights, the sounds, the cool running blue water, the glistening sunshine the perfect day in a perfect world, the perfect moment.
